Kinky Boots

The musical, Kinky Boots, scored by Cyndi Lauper, strutted away with 6 Tony Awards over the weekend. The musical is based on the 2005 British comedy, Kinky Boots (3 of 4 stars from Roger Ebert). The film is loosely based on the real life story of Steve Pateman’s struggling family shoe factory and its transformation into the Kinky Boot Factory (footwear for drag queens).
