Scottish fiction and sci-fi [M] writer Iain Banks passed away Sunday after being diagnosed with cancer this April. His books include The Wasp Factory, The Crow Road, Complicity, and the Culture series.
Fellow author, Neil Gaiman blogged yesterday, “If you've never read any of his books, read one of his books. Then read another. Even the bad ones were good, and the good ones were astonishing.”  Banks' final book, The Quarry, is scheduled to be released late this month. Many of Banks’ books are in the AFPL collection.
