a Shelter Dog Month. Looking to adopt a pet? It’s important to do your
research first. AFPL has helpful materials on breeds, care, and training.
If you’d like to support local area animal shelters and rescue groups, join
our neighbors at Jones Bridge Animal Hospital for their 3rd annual Stray Dog Strut 5K race Saturday 25 October, 8:00 am at Newtown
Park. There’ll be a canine Halloween costume contest, raffle,
and kids’ activities, too! Proceeds from the event help provide
medical care and shelter to area rescue animals while they wait for forever homes.
