'Here, there and everywhere'

"They've got their own groups. What are we going to give them that they don't already have?", queried McCartney as the group left for New York. Two days later, the Beatles made their first live American TV appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show 9 February 1964. They also made history 'all those years ago’. A record 73 million viewers tuned in that evening. Relive those memories, introduce the “Fab Four” to a younger generation, or ‘meet the Beatles’ on your own. Visit the library for CDs, movies, bios, history, songbooks, and more. CBS will air “The Night that Changed America” Sunday 9 February at 8 pm. CNN is showing a documentary on the "British Invasion". Yeah, yeah, yeah!
