Happy St. Patrick's Day
The Book of Kells is an illuminated manuscript of 4 gospels of the New Testament. The book dates to 800 AD and is heavily decorated with intricate knot work and beasts. While the book is incomplete, it's considered to be the finest example of those produced in monasteries of Ireland, Scotland, and England during the 6th-9th centuries. The manuscript is on display at Trinity College Dublin but has recently been digitized.
