Reading month for little ones

File:Bedtime story - The Cat in the Hat.JPG - Wikimedia CommonsHow do you celebrate Reading Month if your child isn't reading yet? The following skills, alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, rapid letter or number naming, rapid object or color naming, phonological memory, and writing letters or one’s own name, are those needed to later reading and writing. The folks at Leapfrog have lots of fun activities and games to help your child develop these skills. The importance of the bedtime story can not be overestimated.
