Juneteenth celebrations at Atlanta History Center

African Americans started a tradition called Juneteenth to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.
Join a two day celebration of Juneteenth while participating in activities including theater performances, kid-friendly activities, storytelling, genealogy workshops, the premiere of The Order of Freedom, and guest speaker Michael Twitty, an African American culinary historian. The event takes place Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm, and Sunday from noon - 5 pm. It also happens to be the final weekend of the Wells Fargo Free Admission Weekend. Atlanta History Center; 130 West Paces Ferry Road; 404-814-4000.
