'Bloody July' events

The Federal Occupation of Roswell, Georgia 1864
July 12 & 13, 2014 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM 

on The Grounds of Barrington Hall

LivingHistory.jpg"2014 is the sesquicentennial year of the Federal Army's occupation of Roswell. Barrington Hall, in partnership with the Roswell Convention and Visitor's bureau, will reenact the arrest of the Roswell Manufacturing Company's 400 mostly women mill workers (in July of 1864) who were then sent north to prison camps. In addition there will be a Federal Encampment on the grounds of Barrington Hall during the weekend. Soldiers will demonstrate camp life in 1864. Period clothing, both military and civilian, will be on display as will Civil War era weapons. " For schedule of events visit roswellgov.com
