Loch Ness Monster

This photograph of the Loch Ness Monster, one of two pictures known as the 'surgeon's photographs,' was allegedly taken by Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson, though it was later exposed as a hoax (Getty)The first written accounts of the Scottish lake monster date to the 7th century. Eighty-one years after the most famous (or infamous) photograph  of "Nessie" was published in the Daily Mail, Google and partners have launched Street View of the loch. Have a wee look about the loch and visit the AFPLS catalogue for materials about "Nessie" and other cryptids.
