Simon Cowell on kids' books

“I have thought about it, and now I think I’ll do it,” Cowell told Extra. “I’ve had to read a lot of these children’s books and they’re quite boring, I think I could do it better.” Cowell also plans to create a character based on himself - “obviously sort of a hero figure”. 

Children's author, Philip Ardagh, gave Cowell kudos for reading to his son and suggested he ask a professional librarian for book recommendations. That's good advice for any parent!
