Look Both Ways

The past several months have been challenging for many people. Anxiety and fear of an uncertain future may trigger or worsen mental illness. May is Mental Health Month.

Mental Health America is focusing on "Risky Business" - behaviors (substance abuse, internet addiction, overspending...) that may exacerbate (or be signs) of mental illness.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention urges people to "Look Both Ways", both at yourself and others for mental health safety.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and NAMI Northside also provide information, support and way to advocate.

If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741-741.
