The Friends of the Ocee Library is a non-profit group whose purpose is to promote general knowledge of library services and to provide financial assistance for special library needs and events.

As of 25 June 2019, OCEE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. Ocee will be closed for ~6-9 months.

Ocee library is offering programs at off-site locations. This blog will remain active during the closure.

Art for All Ages

NESO Library Anime Club at Ocee LibrarySundays: April 7. 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library’s Anime Club! Teens meet to discuss anime and manga, share fan art and fan fiction. Occasionally there may be snacks and videos! This program is by teens for teens. Ages 12-18. Registration required. Please email with participant's name, age, and phone number to register.

Young ArtistsSaturdays: April 13, 27. 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Basic techniques of drawing, painting, elements of art, principles of design, and cartoon/anime drawing. Ages 5 and up.

Pysanky Craft WorkshopSaturday: April 13. 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
A pysanka is a traditional Ukrainian decorative egg, symbolic of Easter, which is decorated using a wax-resist method. Come decorate a Ukrainian Easter Egg with traditional folk designs using hot beeswax, dye, and a stylus. Attendees must be 13 years +. Registration is required. Sponsored by Pat Boegel.
